2025 Player Performance Update: Gillespie, RHP

Gillespie has started strong in the AAC in seven starts. He’s sitting at a .500 win-loss percentage with a 3-3 record. Gillespie has pitched 43 and 2 / 3 innings so far this season.

He’s faced 173 batters, allowing 35 hits, 19 earned-runs, six home runs, seven walls, and 58 strikeouts. On the seventh of March, Gillespie pitched a strong nine innings striking out 11 hitters, only walking one, and allowing no runs. He finished for a huge win and a no-hitter, the second in school history.

On the 21st, Gillespie pitched a strong eight innings allowing two earned-runs, no walks and 13 strikeouts. The right-hander has been controlling the zone, commanding his offerings well, and working his pitches effectively.

His dominance has emerged, and the aggressive approach to hitters has brought him success, carving up counts and sitting key bats in the opposing lineups.

More to come on the scouting and evaluation of Gillespie.
