College World Series: Tennessee with Big dub to force game 3

Tennessee forces a game three after a superior win over Texas A & M in the second show-down of the 2024 College World Series. 


Sunday afternoon brought College World Series baseball between Texas A & M and Tennessee, from Omaha, Nebraska. Texas A & M’ Aggies were one win away from raising the NCAA world series trophy. The Tennessee Volunteers had different plans.


Tennessee started right-hander Drew Beam who went for four innings and let up the only run of the game, which was a solo-home run by LaViolette. He walked two batters and struck out seven. 


Beam was replaced by by RHP Aaron Combs who struck out five hitters, walked two, gave up three hits over four shutout innings. Tennessee sent two long-balls out the yard by Stark and Drieling with two RBI’s a piece. 


Nate Snead closed out the game to secure game two; Snead picked up the save. 


Game 3 goes Monday; this will determine the 2024 College World Champs.
